After many years working at Melbourne's top law firms, Laura established Moonee Valley Conveyancing and is now thrilled to open the sister branch Darebin Conveyancing.

Laura loves the hands-on approach of getting to know her clients and helping them through every step of their property transaction.

It’s the personal touch of helping people in the local Darebin community – many who she’s known from growing up in Northcote and attending school - that brings her joy. And with established relationships with local agents, brokers and lenders, Laura is happy to refer clients to her trusted community network.

Makayla is enthusiastic, organised and reliable – making her the ideal first point of contact for our clients. Her goal is to send everyone off with a smile on their face.

Currently studying Bachelor of Laws and with 5 years’ customer experience behind her, Makayla assists clients with enquiries in a prompt and friendly manner and supports them in every way possible. Makayla encourages buyers to engage with a conveyancer to review the Contract of Sale before making an offer or bidding at auction, for a smooth purchasing journey.

Outside of work, Makayla enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and soaking up the joys of performing arts.

Julie Rutherford, Reception & Administrative Assistant

Julie is a skilled and dependable professional in our team, fulfilling the role of Receptionist and Administrative Assistant, blending her background in customer service with enthusiasm and efficiency.

Julie brings invaluable organisational skills and attention to detail to support clients with their enquiries for all their conveyancing needs. Her friendly and proactive approach ensures every client interaction is positive and efficient.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys cooking, family time, going to the gym and watching netflix on a cold winters night with a glass of pinot.

Selma Kotoski, Marketing, HR & Business Operations Coordinator

Selma has a passion for all things property, whether it be buying, selling, styling, building and developing.

Selma has gained valuable experience in conveyancing, where she effectively managed files from initiation to final settlement as well as gained a deep understanding to support and address client inquiries. This experience has prepared her to step into the role of Marketing, HR & Business Operations Coordinator, where she applies her diverse skills to enhance various aspects of company operations

Selma’s interests include travelling, cooking, entertaining family and friends and if she’s not watching her son play soccer on the weekends you will find her camping in the bush.

Selma has perfected the art of making Olive and Haloumi bread, which the team enjoys devouring.

Sam Raso, Business Manager

A background in Supply Chain Management & Planning, Sam has worked for large organisations including; Ford, Delphi (GM) & Lion Nathan. Sam brings to Darebin Conveyancing a strong skill set which includes; Business Administration, Process Management and Strategic & Tactical Business Planning.

Sam’s role as Business Manager covers all non-conveyancing aspects of the business including; Sales & Marketing, I.T., payroll, accounts receivable & payable and recruitment & HR.

Sam is a passionate Collingwood supporter whose interests include; soccer, tennis, travelling, property development & share investment and attending his children’s sporting activities.
